Our Story

As a group of freelancers working together on various projects we founded The Sunroom in the Spring of 2022. Our goal was to build the kind of production company we wished existed in our community.

Based in Richmond, Virginia, we’re a story-first team. We believe great work comes from trust, collaboration, and genuinely caring about the people we work with. As artists ourselves, we know what it feels like to put creative work into the world, and how important it is to feel supported in that process.

We work across music videos, live sessions, documentaries, and brand storytelling, focusing on highlighting our client’s vision and taking it to the next level. Our mission is simple: to create high-quality filmmaking that feels approachable, thoughtful, and rooted in the community we’re part of.

The Sunroom is meant to feel warm and inviting for collaborators and audiences alike. We’re proud to work with local artists, businesses, and organizations, helping bring Richmond’s creativity to life on screen.
